I'm Karla.
I am originally from Puerto Rico (my first language is Spanish—hola). I went to college in Savannah, Georgia, and moved to New York City in 2012. Talk about a double cultural shock.
Outside of work, I enjoy playing co-ed soccer in my free time.
I have worked as a graphic designer in the New York Metropolitan area for the past 10 years. During this time, I served as an in-house graphic designer for women's lifestyle brands, such as First for Women and Woman's World publications. My skills included:
1. Design review and quality assurance
2. Image editing to streamline business branding
3. Produce editorial layouts
Additionally, I have worked as a freelancer, designing multi-channel promotional materials, including logos, posters, booklets, and large-format print projects for independent artists and non-profits.
Furthermore, I possess advanced skills in photo editing and pre-production tasks, as well as expertise in web imagery.
